My Top 5 Most Profitable Items Sold This Week

For those who are looking for items to buy and sell on eBay here are a few that my colleagues and I made some great money on in the past week. This was a difficult week to sell as it was after Christmas but they still managed to make some great profit. Here are my favorites:

- Microsoft basketball Accessories. Though the Zune is the ugly stepchild of the I-pod, it still sells relatively well. The accessories that can be used for the Zune can be found at many outlet sites online and can be sold for great profit on eBay. Watch for sites to have these on sale, as many do, and sell them for a great price on eBay.

- Portland Trailblazers basketball cards. The Brandon Roy rookie cards are starting to climb as he continues to help the Blazers basketball team. If you can get these cards now, they should continue to go up in price. Especially if he makes the all-star team or if he can take his team to the playoffs.

- Used Gamecube games. You can find these at Yard Sales now. As the new systems are out, the old games are being tossed, My friend found quite a few at a yard sale and sold his for a great amount. The great thing about the Gamecube games is that they are still playable on the new Nintendo Wii, the hottest gaming system out. More Wii players are discovering old games they never played before.

- Indiana Jones, and Star Trek memorabilia. With the new movies coming out, these are and should continue to grow in popularity. These are more difficult to find but will be great resale items in the near future.

- Cutco knives. Surprisingly more and more Cutco knives are being found in obscure places like estate sales and storage shed clear outs. For some great items to sell on eBay, the estate sells and storage shed clearouts are gold mines. Especially for the extremely popular Cutco knives.

Good luck on your eBay sales.

Basketball Free-Throws - How to Shoot 90% Plus From the Free-Throw Line

In this article I will show you how to shoot 90% plus from the free-throw line.

Why should you listen to me? Because I shot over 90% from the free-throw line my senior year in college and I know what I am talking about. Very few people ever achieve that milestone. At the very least, if you aspire to shoot in the 90's and fall short into the 80's you will still be better than a majority of the players in the NBA.

Why do you want to shoot 90% plus from the free-throw line? There are a lot of reasons, but the most important one is winning basketball games. Last year's NCAA title was lost at the free-throw line, period.

Here is how you become a great free-throw shooter.

First...you must have great mechanics. Model Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics or basketball Nash of the Phoenix Suns, two players that have hit 90% from the free-throw line for an entire NBA season.

Make sure you are square to the basket. Right foot behind the little dot in the middle of the free-throw line (left foot if you are left-handed). Elbow in. Release the ball at the top of your shot, just like on your jump-shot. Follow through by putting your hand in the center of the basket.

Shoot your free-throws exactly like you shoot your jump-shot--except don't jump. Why would you want to waste time practicing two different motions? Ray Allen and Steve Nash use the exact same motion on their free-throws and jump-shots. Model the best.

Second...you must use the exact same routine every time. I walk to the free-throw line very slowly taking a couple of deep breaths to totally relax myself. I bounce the ball three times repeating to myself "I am a great shooter" "I am a great shooter" "I am a great shooter". I understand J.R. Reddick tells himself "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me".

Whatever you say to yourself, make sure it is a positive statement. Do not act like an idiot and go through all kinds of weird gyrations. Make it a simple, confident, and accurate routine.

Thirdly...use the power of your mind. Visualize yourself swishing the shot before you shoot it. See the ball going right through the middle of the hoop. Feel the basketball shot. Be 100% confident. There are studies that show people can improve their free-throw shooting through visualization alone.

Fourth...practice, practice, practice.

You must practice the above methods everyday. When I was growing up I wouldn't leave the court or driveway until I hit 10 free-throws in a row. Sometimes that would take me over an hour. It's worth it! Once you become a 90% free-throw shooter you are in a very elite group. And you can stay there as long as you want.

To sum it up, here is what you must do to shoot 90% plus from the free-throw line.

1.) Develop the right mechanics.

2.) Use the exact same routine each time.

3.) Visualize the perfect shot.

4.) Practice.

Good luck! I am going to write an eBook on this topic in the near future.

The Family That Plays Together

Families need playtime together. They need basketball chance to relax, have fun and play. So often, families are so busy with the different activities and responsibilities that they forget to get together and reconnect. Making time for the family to be together may take some serious effort, but it is sure to come with some serious rewards.

Getting the family together for dinner is a great start and should be done often, but there are added benefits to be had when the family starts to play. Family members relax, conversations happen and bonds are built. Family playtime is a tradition well worth the time and effort involved. Children deserve to have fond memories of childhood that include family activities. These memories become a treasured part of childhood that will be carried with them throughout their lives.

Play can come in many different forms, but the best type of play will allow for conversation. Playful competition can be healthy, but care should be taken to avoid letting it take a serious turn. After all, winning the game is not the goal, building memories and having fun are much more important.

Family game nights are a great way to get the group together and can include board games, card games or video games. Care should be taken to make sure all members are included, especially if the activity revolves around video games as the number of players is limited. Card games are often a great choice for larger families and a rousing game of Uno can even overcome the reluctance of many a sullen teenager. Board games, carefully chosen, will also provide lots of opportunities for friendly chatter. Just be careful to choose a game that will fit the timeslot available. A rousing game of Monopoly might not be the best choice for a school night.

Taking the family outside is also a great choice. Outdoor games can be as simple as a casual game of soccer in the backyard, tossing the Frisbee around or finding local basketball hoops for a quick game. A full blown game of basketball will keep everyone around a bit longer and should really help family members let their guards down and relax.

Playing hard is a great way to open the lines of communication and you may be surprised at the conversations that come after the game as well. Portable and adjustable basketball hoops make it easy to have a quick game in your own driveway.

Be sure to plan a variety of activities to keep the family interested and having fun. You don't want to play video games every Monday night if one member of the family really isn't into them. Keeping the activities varied will help ensure that each family member's strengths are recognized and each has a chance to shine. Setting a regular day for these family days will help members plan around them, but if that doesn't basketball for your family, just be sure to have them as often as you can.

Get your family together and play some basketball together. Whether you're looking for an outdoor basketball system like a portable hoop, this store has just the basketball goal you're looking for.

Warning - Don't Even Think of Playing Basketball on a Hurt Knee Until You Have Used a Knee Brace

How are you knees doing?

If you are having trouble with them, then we can "feel your pain".

Sometimes it is not such a pain issue as it is a knee instability issue. We can understand where you are coming from here too.

Basketball is a great sport. A seriously great sport! The problem though as you might be having is that your knee pain and instability do not work well with the game of basketball. Maybe you can relate.

Its like you almost wish you could trade getting a traveling violation every time you touched the ball, if it meant that your knee issues would vanish. - We think you know where we are coming from here.... (We know you never have traveled in your life, anyways, right?....)

Let's get down basketball business.

Whether you have torn your ACL, incurred another ligament injury, torn your meniscus, or have knee problems in another way,.... in the end you still have options.

1.) You Can Rest Your Knee

Rest can be great. It can help you recover from some of the aches and pains that the game naturally brings on, but if you have a more serious knee injury, then rest does not always "cut it". It does have its place, but you sometimes need to take your pain and/or instability relief to the next level.

2.) Surgery

Yep. Surgery can be effective. It definitely has its place, and in the hands of the proper physician, it can sometimes be the only answer to help solve your knee issues. The problem is that can be an invasive procedure. Not only can it be invasive, but we would like to ask you a question : how many times have you heard of a player having "season ending surgery"? - Sometimes, when you can help it, a more conservative treatment method will give you more options.

3.) A Knee Brace

If you watch the game of basketball on televison today, you will see many players using a knee brace. Many noteable players in the past have used them as well. (Almost to the point where you would think it is part of their uniform....) There are many knee brace types out there today and the one that helps you does not have to be a big, bulky, heavy device that will make your game go down the tubes...

Trust us, there are many out there that will not only give you meaningful support, but they can do so in a light weight design that can help reduce your knee pain as well. Like we mentioned earlier, sometimes you need to have surgery, but there are many moments in which your physician will allow you to continue on with the use of one of these well designed braces.

The basics of knee braces is that you should basketball rate your knee pain and instability on a scale of 1-10. (If your doctor gave you a diagnosis, you should also heed their advice on treatment as well.)

Once you have thought about these things a little, we would like to point out some basics in terms of knee braces. Many times, simple knee sleeves can be effective. They are made of neoprene or drytex, and can be referred to as elastic knee sleeves. They will help keep your knee warm and provide some extra support that will also act as a reminder to you not to make certain painful moves on the court.

There are also other knee braces with hinges. Some hinges are more deluxe than others. These braces can be more supportive, yet restrictive for a good reason. If your knee injury is more serious then you may very well need something that will give you more support.

These days, you can find a lot of good knee supports online. A good knee brace site will explain to you what level of support you will get. If they do not, move on.

If you would like to take your knee stability to the next level, or help to reduce knee pain then you should visit us online today at http://www.drbraceco.com Dr. Brace Co. is an education based site that can provide helpful information and meaningful support for your knee.
